There are many effects of pollution in New Delhi. One is that lung problem symptoms are 1.7 times more common than the rural areas. There is also less vitamin D becausse of the smog. There has also been a lower average mean haze score, which is a measure for UV-B radiation reaching the ground.
In the summer/fall people get chronic obstructive airway diseases more than any other time of the year. The number of deaths have also been increased by air pollution.
